Research


I'm currently studying the tribological (friction and wear) aspects of sliding interfaces in air-conditioning compressors under the presence of carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. The interaction of bare materials vs soft polymeric coatings with lubricants and refrigerants are under study. I'm also interested in the modeling and study of contact problems dealing with surface roughness using FEA.
